Here are the tips to make it happen
Categories are listed by following orders
* Traditional
* Low end
* High end
* Performance
* Size
Round 1
1. R & D: Just change the MTBF for the 1st round
Just change MTBF to
- Traditional 16000,
- Low end 12000,
- Performance 27000,
- Size 16000,
Mean Time Between Failure is about the average amount of time it takes for the product to fail.
You need to think about what the customer wants for each category.
Traditional users don’t want super cheap stuff that breaks soon. However, they don’t want some product that lasts forever but is expensive. They want the medium range.
Low-end users are just looking at the price. The MTBF can be the lowest.
Performance users are just looking at the performance. You have to make it the best product you can possibly make.
Size users are looking at the size
2. Marketing: Invest in Promo & Sales
Both promo and sales need to be
- Traditional 2,000
- Low end 2,000
- High end 2,000
- Size 1,000
- Performance 1,000
Even if you make a great product, if nobody knows about it(awareness), or even if they knew if people are not able to actually go buy it in a nearby store(accessibility ) , then your product will not sale.
3. Production: Low end needs to make a lot of product
Invest the maximum 10 in the Low end automation.
Low price products are hard to make profits because they need to be cheap. That means they need to target a lot of customers and be sold to many people. That is why you need to increase the capability so that you can make a lot of quantity.
Do a little bit of automation for the other ones, too. (4 for traditional, 3 for others)
4. Finance: Need to borrow money to spend more on investments
Borrow maximum of Issue Long Term Debt and Stock.
Then change the A/P Lag from 30 to 60.
Round 2
5. R & D: Change each value
Traditional needs to have a medium spec.
Low end you don’t have to touch anything.
High-end need to increase performance and MTBF, don’t have to be good in size.
Performance needs to have the highest performance and highest MTBF
The size needs to have the size small.
6. Marketing: Invest heavily in Promo & Sales
- Promo 2,000 to each segment
- Sales 2,000 to each segment
Continue this till the awareness and accessibility in the yearly report are both 100%.
Once you achieve, 100% then you can change them to 1,400 to keep it 100%.
For the forecast, input the value with the following calculation.
Last Round’s Total Industry Unit Demand * Segment Growth Rate * Last Round’s Sales =
Price needs to be at least $0.75 to $1.00 cheaper than the other competitors.
7. Production: Do not stock out.
You have to keep on adding a production schedule, especially for the Low end. Do Traditional the next. Also, add some to others.
100% overtime for the Low end.
Continue the 10 automation for Low end and 5 for Traditional 3 for others.
8. Finance: Still do maximum on “Issue Long Term Debt” and “Issue stock”.
Round 2 probably is the last time to borrow long-term debt.
Continue to issue stock.
9. Human resource : Invest in people
Continue to do
Invest Recruiting $5,000,
Training hours 80 hours
Round 3 You should be earning a lot of money already
The low end will make a lot of money for you.
Keep on doing the above and also spend your money on investments, and you should be doing a very good job for your next 6 rounds.
The first 2 rounds makes the most difference.
Good luck!
