Step7: How to Accelerate your Exam

Exam task overview is like this

1. Read a text book and answer some quiz for practice(This is not mandatory)

2. Before the real assessment, there is a pre-assessment that you need to take.
Pre-assessments are like real tests, but you are not monitored.
You will know which part was wrong and which part you were correct.
(Pre-assessments are mandatory)

3. Then when you pass the pre-assessment test, you are able to reserve the monitored assessment that is the real exam.

Here are tips for the exam test.

1. Search the web to get similar quiz and answers

I think most people start with reading the lengthy textbook.
Don’t think that you don’t have to do that. You have to read the textbook entirely.

However, it is better to know what you are getting into before reading the textbook so that you would understand clearly what the important parts are before reading them.

For example,

First, google your course name. “c211 global economics for managers pre-assessment”

Then you will be directed to a website like the following.

https://quizlet.com

https://www.studyblue.com

https://www.coursehero.com

https://www.reddit.com

These sites will give you a heads up for where to look in your textbook.

When you get to the point, “I have seen this somewhere” then you have a better memory of that part.

There is a very similar quiz for pre-assessment and the real assessment.
Sometimes the questions are the same but the fill-in-the-blank is a different blank.

2. Read and listen to the textbook.

People often debate if reading is better or listening is better.

I think it is better if you do both at the same time.

Then that means you can understand twice from your eye and from your ear.

You have to turn the reading speed all the way up till your not waiting for the computer to read.

Go to Balabolka(Text-to-speech software) website

This helped me especially when I was getting tired and losing concentration.

It still made me hear and understand in that condition.

3. Copy important text in a separate document

Copy the important part inside your textbook and quiz.

You don’t have to search in the long textbook to search for what you’re looking for this way.

You can easily search the text inside your file.

Definitely copy the pre-assessment.

That way you are able to try it out multiple times.

Find your easiest way of doing copy and paste because you probably have to do this a lot of times.
